TYPES OF CORRELATION

1.         POSITIVE CORRELATION
}  A positive correlation is a relationship between 2 variables where if one variable increase, the other one also increase. A positive correlation also exists if one decrease, the other also decrease.
EXAMPLE:
}  The more time you spend running on a treadmill, the more calories you will burn.
}  The taller people have large shoe sizes & shorter people have smaller show sizes.

}  The longer your hair grows, the more shampoo you need.
2.         NEGATIVE CORRELATION
}  A negative correlation means that there is an inverse relationship between the two variables- when one variable decrease the other increase. The vice versa is a negative correlation too, in which one variable increase and the other decrease.
EXAMPLES:
}  A student who has many absence has a less in grade.
}  If a train high speed the length of time to get to the final point short.
3.         ZERO CORRELATION
}  No correlation occurs when there is no linear dependency between the variables. A correlation is a score which shows that there is no relationship/ link between two things.
EXAMPLES:
}  The more weight I gain the smarter I will be (intelligence is not effected by weight)
}  Cookie sales and temperature (Cookies are an all your treat so they do not go up or down depending on the temperature)
